How to get there

​​

There will be a portion of 98 Street from the Peace Regional pool, north past Good Shepherd School closed for the triathlon. ​​

​

The West half of the parking lot will be closed to traffic. Parking will be on the East side

Transition will be set up between the bike turn around leg for the sprint distance and the finish arch.

Sprint (16+) / Try-a-Tri (12+) Swim

​​

Sprint 750m (30 lengths)

​

Try-a-Tri 300m (12 lengths)

​

  • 25m pool

  • Entry and exit from shallow end

  • 4 swimmers per lane grouped by predicted completion time

  • We will have volunteer lap counters

Kids Swim

​

U5 

  • U5 - 17m  - swim the short width of the shallow end so that an adult can walk alongside them. Adults can be in the water or on deck

  • Flotation aids strongly recommended!

     

Older kids will enter / exit lanes from shallow end â€‹â€‹
 

  • KOS 6-7 50m (2 lengths)

  • KOS 8-9 100m (4 lengths)

  • KOS 10-11 200m (8 lengths)

  • Flotation aids can be used. Lifeguards can give kids flutterboards part way through if needed

Sprint (16+) / Try-a-Tri (12+)

The bike route will be on open roads with beautiful views of the river and a river crossing on a dedicated pedestrian bridge. We are coordinating with the Town of Peace River and Alberta Highways to make it as safe as possible. Hazards will be marked and volunteers will be present along the course. 

​

Run route will be on a paved trail on  the river dyke

​

Kids of Steel

​

The bike route is on the river dyke to keep kids totally separate from traffic. The run route is on a gravel road which will be temporarily closed for our use.
